Forwarding TCP with Porthole
Now available on our Professional plan, Dataplicity Porthole allows you to forward arbitrary TCP ports from your remote Linux devices to your local Windows PC or Windows Server.
Remotely accessing SCP, VNC and even your own proprietary network protocol over networks you don't control is now really simple!
With Porthole, connections, ports and IP addresses are managed by you and are local to your workstation. They are suitable for 24x7 use and your redirects do not expire every few hours. Furthermore, as your redirects terminate inside your own infrastructure, your devices are not exposing open network ports to the wider internet.
One more thing...
With Porthole's command line you are able to run commands directly against your remote devices (great for scripting!). You can even open a remote Linux terminal at the Windows command prompt!
